Romanticise your life

Having main-character energy will literally save you. I know this sounds dramatic, but imagine navigating through life without feeling like you own it. Life gets boring, especially when we have to deal with our daily routines; this is why being the main character of your story is important.

My favorite thing about being the main character is that you get to write the story, even when life tries to keep you down, your self-love will save you. You get to remember you are that girl on your sad days, and somehow find a way to put a smile back on your face. The best part is, you don’t have to overspend to romanticize your life.

Romanticizing your life makes everything feel better. Simple things like putting on a scented candle while taking a bath, playing music while doing the household chores, and sitting outside your house in the morning and sipping tea while listening to the birds chirp make life feel less exhausting.

How to romanticize your life

1. Choose yourself

This might sound selfish, but the truth is you are a reflection of how you feel about yourself, and the way you treat yourself is certainly how you’re going to treat others.
When you are kind to yourself, you naturally become kind to the people around you. Prioritizing yourself helps you glow from the inside out.

2. Enjoy the little things.

Enjoy the little things, when you’re doing the laundry and the dishes, play some music. Try a new cooking recipe, light up the candles during dinner. Have karaoke with your friends on random days, and look forward to the good parts of your job. Go out alone, talk to strangers, try something new, enjoy your free will.

3. Document your life

Take pictures of everything, take pictures of the book you are reading, the food you made, of nature whenever you go out to enjoy it, your favorite drinks, and make random videos of yourself walking , talking, and doing the things you enjoy.

Capture memories

4. Romanticize fashion

Your personal style represents who you are, don’t be scared to wear that dress and put together those pieces. You don’t need a special occasion to dress like a diva, every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway. Don’t be afraid to buy that dress or finally wear the one that’s been sitting in your wardrobe.

5. Be grateful for everything

Gratitude is a powerful form of self-care, being able to be thankful for everything helps you to focus on the beautiful things of life, to stay optimistic, and keeps you looking forward to how good life can get.

Gratitude

Romanticize your life, enjoy every moment, always remember you are that girl, and you are the main character of your story.
